Debt Collection Events You Need to Attend

The following are arranged in chronological order. Events that have already passed have a strike through them – click here to jump to upcoming events.

#1: Collector.Live!

It’s back! If you’re a collector or are leading a team of collectors, this is the perfect opportunity to sharpen up you & your teams skillset. Having strong communication skills & empathy will be critical to successful consumer interactions amid the lingering financial impacts of COVID-19, so now is the time to get involved with soft skills training. Since many teams in the debt collection industry are working remotely now, this event can also prove to be an effective way to bring your team together and start a discussion.

If you decide to make time for this event, here’s what your team will get out of it:

► Livestream of 16 sessions featuring Harry StrausserMichael JeselnikMary ShoresJohn Bedard Jr.Kelli KruegerJoann Needleman, and other industry experts!

► A legal panel that is available to answer your questions in real time during the event

► Lifetime access to all session recordings

#2: RMAi Annual Conference

RMAi is providing a hybrid conference experience this April, meaning that you will have the option to attend either virtually or in-person. If your new years resolution involves engaging in more virtual or in-person networking, this is the event for you.

Virtual networking includes a round-robin via zoom for attorneys, collection agencies, and debt buyers, as well as a first time attendee pre-conference networking session to help you make the most of the event. In-person networking features a cabana crawl, taco Tuesday, pedis with peers, golfing at Bear’s Best Las Vegas, and more!

Here’s what we’re most looking forward to on the conference agenda:

► Regaining Contactability and Trust in Consumer Communications

► New Requirements for Outbound, Inbound, Web-Based and Social Media Formats

► Digital Communications and The New Rules for Debt Collection

We are loving all of these compliance and consumer-focused sessions!

#3: ACA International Convention & Expo

We were in attendance virtually last year. Not only did we attend, but our CEO and Customer Success Manager shared their tips for achieving higher connection rates while our Director of Marketing discussed the applications and implications of omni-channel communications in the debt collection industry.

For industry professionals, this is a great opportunity to evaluate new vendors and technologies, gain a deeper understanding of how to improve debt recovery in 2021 and share ideas with like-minded individuals. We share some tips for making the most out of your time at the event here.

This conference is very important to us. By attending, sharing our knowledge and interacting with industry professionals, we’re able to gain the insight necessary to create products that directly meet our customer’s needs.

Conference Dates: July 28-30, 2020

Location: Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas (note: depending on pandemic trend, may be held virtually)

This is a great opportunity for women to network with and learn from other women in the industry, as well as engage in fun workshops and activities to keep things interesting.

These are the sessions we were most inspired by last year:

► Managing Up & Across to Influence Outcomes Workshop
